We are often called on to negotiate commercial leases and other real estate matters for clients.
For a new lease, ideally we’re involved before your business signs a letter of intent (LOI). There are critical lease terms that may get “locked in” during the LOI stage (e.g., personal guaranty).
Along with lease matters, our commercial real estate (CRE) experience includes a range of traditional acquisition and development matters, from letters of intent and purchase agreements to preparing all manner of transfer documents (e.g., deeds, assignments of leases, bills of sale, etc.). Our broad CRE experience also includes negotiating a range of acquisition and development loans for our clients. Those loans include traditional real estate secured lending and seller finance.
We’ve counsel a wide variety of businesses on their office leases (often working closely with their tenant brokers on the leases). We also advise a variety of hotel developers and operators, restauranteurs on their real property matters.
