The Anti - “Big Firm”

We are also business owners and do not ‘preach from on high’ without any ownership experience.  We come down from the 50th-floor high-rise, roll up our sleeves and get to work advocating for your business.  We help keep dollars in your business because of our lower overhead and commitment to practice and workplace efficiency. We use a remote work model for cost-flexibility and cost-management and have done so since well-before the Pandemic.

No Legal Bureaucracy

When you work with InTown Legal, you’re directly hiring the legal advocates who are going to do your work– not an overworked, high-priced associate and higher priced junior partner who are then required to have all of their work “reviewed” by the country club law partner.

We’re happy to work with these clients!

For Business Owners and Entrepreneurs

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or a seasoned business owner, we work closely with you to address your unique needs.

Business Formation

We help entrepreneurs set up their businesses to meet their organization’s needs starting with limiting your liability. Our counsel includes working with your tax advisors on choosing the form of a legal entity. Once the business is formed we help our clients take care of other common business needs that are discussed on this page.

Essential Contracts

Every business should have a library of essential contracts that it uses with its business. Those contracts can include: non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), engagement letters, purchase agreements, master service agreements (MSAs) and many, many others. We work with you to: i) understand your business and ‘what’ it’s selling, then ii) use that information to develop the library of contracts that will help you sell your products/services and help protect you and your business by limiting its liability.

Outside General Counsel (Legal Quarterbacking)

We serve a number of clients as their “outside general counsel.” We want to be the first call when there’s a legal need for your business.  Helping your business to ‘quarterback’ the need and ensure that we help you to a solution.

More broadly, we pride ourselves on going beyond legal counsel to offer broader business perspective derived from our own experience as a business owner and in-house counsel. This business perspective may include review, critique and revise business plans, assess financing needs, and advise on the vital strategies and perspective that businesses need to excel. Our goal is to be your trusted advisor and broadly assist your business wherever it makes sense to do so.

Send Your Request

The information you’re sending should be a cursory overview of your business’s issues. This background will be helpful for our initial conversation. This initial conversation is complimentary and doesn’t cost you anything. Once we speak, we can move quickly to determine whether your business is ready to hire our firm to help.

Now for the obligatory disclaimer: the mailing of this information is not intended to create, and receipt of it does not constitute an attorney-client relationship. Anything that you send to anyone at our Firm will not be confidential or privileged unless we have agreed to represent you. Meet Rob

Rob brings a blend of large-firm and in-house experience, having practiced at two regional southeastern law firms and served as corporate counsel for a publicly traded Atlanta-based IT services company. Before founding InTown Legal, he was a partner at a respected technology and venture capital boutique firm in Atlanta.

Rob’s connection to the Pacific Northwest runs deep—he earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in the late 1990s, serving on the law review, and later returned to the region with his family after years of practice in Atlanta. Today, he splits his professional focus between Seattle and Atlanta, supporting clients throughout both markets.

An avid outdoorsman, Rob cherishes the time he spends hiking and snow skiing with his family.  On his own, Rob enjoys running ridiculously long trail races across the Pacific Northwest and Southeast.

Rob holds a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, where he was a member of the law review. Rob received his B.A. in History from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and is a member of the State Bar Associations of Washington and Georgia.
